JOOP 2022 – 4 a 8 de abril – Tokyo

The Japan Olive Oil Prize is an international contest that aims at promoting extra-virgin olive oils of all origin in Japan. It represents a unique opportunity for producers to increase their brand awareness in international markets. In particular, Japan is the Asian country where the demand for high-quality extra-virgin olive oil grows the most.

The current international logistic crisis, caused by the crisis in Ukraine on top of the existing disruptions to do the pandemic, has severely affected the shipping of olive oils to Japan, with delays of over two weeks in many cases. In order to allow for the late participants to be evaluated, we took the decision to postpone the date of the JOOP Award Ceremony to May 13th at 18:00 (GMT+9).

JOOP is synonymous with excellence and fairness, granted by an internationally recognized panel of jurors. Participating oils are selected based on blind tasting procedures and in full accordance with the EU regulations.
