EESC calls to preserve EU model of agriculture and family farming in CAP reform

In an opinion adopted late last week (June 1), the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) called for preservation of the EU model of agriculture and family farming under the forthcoming review of the CAP, as well as closing of the income gap between urban and rural areas and harmonising the level of direct payments across the EU.
