Job Overview
The Grower will be responsible for overall health and success of crops within their assigned growing area. Working closely with the Head Grower to ensure on time completion of the production schedule as well as fertigation strategies and environmental monitoring.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Manage crops and monitors environment within their assigned growing area;
• Maintains a safe, clean and compliant workplace;
• Coordinates with Head Grower to ensure fertigation systems are maintained;
• Coordinates with Head Grower timing of crop maintenance based on crop assessments;
• Complete all documentation to meet the company GACP/GMP standards requirements as it relates to the greenhouse environment;
• Ensure Batch Records are maintained with on time entry and crop logs and documentation are completed for assigned crops;
• Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety;
• Follow and contribute to the improvement of the Cultural Program;
• Any other duty deemed essential as requested by the Managing Director or Head Grower;
• Perform all aspects of crop analysis, scouting, fertigation and verification of work related to the crops within your zones;
• Provide assistance and backup coverage to other Zone growers based on their days off/holidays.
Qualifications
• Completed a Horticulture or Agronomy Certificate or Diploma;
• Must have Application of Plant Protection Products Course
• 2 years work experience in horticulture (cannabis or other plants);
• Experience in organic agriculture
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications;
• Strong inventory and production management skills;
• Must possess excellent communication skills for communicating with peers and schedulers;
• Highly capable of multi-tasking, with minimal supervision;
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude;
• English level B2
