RPK Biopharma – a global pharmaceutical company wishing to recruit a Agricultural Assistant to assist our growing team.
Agricultural Assistant (M / F)
To provide effective support to the cultivation and primary processing of Cannabis crops of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Fertigation of plants as directed by the Outdoor Agricultural Engineer or Technician.
- Cloning, transplanting, defoliation, pruning and harvesting of Cannabis plants under strict adherence to Good Agricultural and Collection Practices (GACP) and company SOPs.
- Cannabis plant deboning, packaging, weighing and labelling in accordance with batch records and
- Documenting accurately, cultivation activities according to instructions in batch records / SOPs./ departmental Logbooks and Forms.
- Monitoring environmental conditions within Cannabis cultivation areas.
- Cleaning and sanitization of Cannabis cultivation areas and equipment.
- Maintaining inventory levels of general consumables required for outdoor cultivation activities.
- Maintaining the standards of housekeeping at the outdoor cultivation site.
- To assist with RPK Biopharma’s on-going R & D programmes, specifically, plant breeding and agronomic trials in order to continually improve Cannabis crop performance in terms of yield and cannabinoid content
- Comply with all company policies, Work Instructions and Good Agricultural and Cultivation Practices (GACP)
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- To perform all reasonable duties as directed by the Agricultural Technician
Profile:
- Minim Experience in horticulture or related field
- Ability to follow written procedures with an attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Possess a positive, can do attitude; and,
- Possess good verbal communication skills
- A secondary qualification in horticulture or a related field.
- Knowledge of horticultural techniques and best practice.
- Basic knowledge of English is a plus
